The whole week before the festival in Lünen started we heard about rain and storm. After the weekend everybody knows: don’t believe to weather forecasts! We had a fantastic weekend with good weather and only 4 little rains during saturday.
Because Sophies birth only two weeks ago, Lena and I (Florian) go to Lünen without Annika and Sophie. But with my mother and Lenas grandma. For her it was the first kitefestival AND the first time sleeping in a caravan. But everything was fine – the whole weekend.
After building up my KAP exhibition in the hangar the festival was opened by the major of Lünen. After that we went to the caranvan to have a good and calm evening with a good bottle of red wine.
During the night we had a lot of rain but in the moring we had blue sky and beautiful sun. So we started a good day with a lot of fun, kiteflying and KAP.
In the evening we had a fantastic firework which Lena didn´t see because it was too loud. We work on it ;-)

Sunday morning the sun was shining again but there was a big fog at the festival ground. This is typically for Lünen and a good time to take nice pictures.
Only one hour later the fog has gone and we had another good day with nice wind and a lot of visitors.
A few minutes after we packed everything into the car it began to rain – exactly at 5 o’clock.

Result: We had a fantastic weekend with good weather and a lot of fun with our grandma. Our big problem is now: how can we go to kitefestivals with our grandma in the next year? Her first question on sunday was: „Is it possible to come with you to another kite festival next year?“ „Sure grandma, it will be possible! You’re welcome!“
